- Base Salary: From $70,889.00 (Grade 8, Step 1) per annum
- Plus: 12% superannuation
- Total Package: $79,395.68 per annum
The successful candidate will have access to step increases for the grade based on competency assessment and tenure within this position.

The Opportunity
Strathfield Council is seeking a motivated Bookings & Facilities Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating bookings for Council’s parks, sporting fields, halls and community facilities. You will act as a key point of contact for customers, providing professional and responsive service while assisting with enquiries and booking requests. The role involves accurately processing bookings, invoices and payments, maintaining facility schedules, and ensuring records are up to date. You will also support the efficient day-to-day operation of Council’s facilities, helping to maximise their utilisation while ensuring all activities comply with Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:
- Manage bookings for Council parks, sporting fields, halls and community facilities
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide booking advice and support
- Process bookings, payments, refunds and bonds accurately
- Coordinate facility access, inspections and operational requirements
- Maintain accurate booking records and ensure compliance with Council policies
- Liaise with community groups, sporting clubs, schools and other stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvements and maximise the use of Council facilities.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in administration and in using booking/data management systems
- Highly developed computer skills and ability to learn and adapt to new programs and applications
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of organisation and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
- A proven ability to manage challenging customers through effective communication and problem solving
- Proven adaptability to attend concurrently to several competing matters with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and independently without close supervision
- Ability to correctly collect, receipt and balance monies daily
- Current NSW ‘Class C’ Drivers Licence.
Desirable
- Experience working within a Customer Service and Facilities Team
- Knowledge of or experience in Local Government.
