About the Role

In this role you will lead and co-ordinate team of planning professionals to deliver key strategic projects and initiatives, including master plans & other strategic urban planning initiatives. Strong project management, community/stakeholder engagement, and staff coordination is essential for the role. You will also monitor and review changes to Federal, State, Regional and Local strategic land use planning, and policies, prepare planning studies, LEP's and DCP's, and undertake relevant assessments to meet statutory requirements.



About You

You're an effective leader with an exemplary ability to build and maintain a positive team environment that fosters productivity, efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills coupled with your significant demonstrated experience in the provision of Strategic Planning advice and initiatives will see you excel in this role.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Extensive experience in town planning or associated area, strategic planning, and policy development.
  • Strong project management skills, in relation to developing, co-coordinating and managing strategic projects.
  • Sound knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of master plans, planning studies, development controls plan, and planning instruments.
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills and investigative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills especially on presenting material, consultation, negotiating and conflict resolution.


Your commencing annual salary will range from $127,116.40 to $146,183.86 + Superannuation + leaseback vehicle, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
