We’re hiring three (3) senior engineers to lead the planning and delivery of vital water and wastewater projects across the Tweed.

About the roles:
Senior Engineer Development JG9
- Play a key role in shaping the future of Tweed’s water and wastewater infrastructure. Ensure development aligns with Council’s strategic objectives, while representing the asset owner in planning, approvals and regulatory matters.
Engineer Development (Level 2) JG8
- Join a pivotal water infrastructure role where you’ll represent the asset owner and provide specialist engineering advice and policy direction across water supply and wastewater operations, upgrades and new development connections.
Engineer Developments (Level 1) JG7
- Help shape sustainable growth across Tweed Shire by providing expert civil engineering judgement on water supply and wastewater for a wide range of developments.
What's on offer:
- An attractive base salary depending upon skills, knowledge and experience. The Job Grade will be determined by the panel as follows:
- Job Grade 9 (Senior Engineer Development): a base salary ranging from $133,822 per annum with performance-based increments up to $148,699 per annum, plus 12% super
- Job Grade 8 (Engineer Development - Level 2): a base salary ranging from $119,030 per annum with performance-based increments up to $132,348 per annum, plus 12% super
- Job Grade 7 (Engineer Developments - Level 1): a base salary ranging from $98,191 per annum with competency-based increments up to $113,007 per annum, plus 12% super

We are seeking:
- A degree-qualified Civil Engineer, eligible for NPER and membership with Engineers Australia
- Demonstrated broad knowledge of the engineering aspects of development including planning, design, and contemporary construction techniques.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing technical staff in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant NSW water and sewerage legislation, regulations and infrastructure planning requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and prepare high-quality written reports and correspondence.
- Proven experience in providing detailed engineering assessment of development applications in respect of water supply and wastewater infrastructure and services.
- Proven ability to represent the water and wastewater services of Council for all development related enquiries and provide considered engineering advice and policy direction to the Manager, executive, Council and other internal and external parties.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software relevant to water and wastewater design and project delivery.
- Current vehicle licence - car, with the flexibility to travel for project coordination and site inspections.
