We are looking for Subdivision & Development Engineers to deliver quality outcomes for Council and Community.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and managing the development of new green and brown field subdivisions and built form development
- Providing professional engineering advice to support development activities in accordance with legislation and Council requirements
- Undertaking assessment and determination of DA engineering referrals, SWCs, PC inspections and SC’s
- Contributing to achieve Council’s Principal Certifier responsibilities
- Communicating, collaborating and advising internal and external stakeholders
- Manage customer requests related to development and subdivisions.
Our preferred candidates
We are seeking 2 qualified engineers with subdivision and development engineering experience and a solid understanding of the planning and legislative framework governing engineering design, construction and certification. The successful candidates will be expected to conduct thorough assessments and provide accurate engineering advice while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Our preferred candidates will demonstrate
- A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Post graduate experience (approximately 2 years) in engineering, ideally within a local government setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act and Roads Act.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with quality management systems.
- A current NSW Class C driver’s licence.
What we offer
- 2 x Permanent full-time role (35 hours per week) with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary range: $101,440 - $111,998 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Civil Liability Allowance (CLA) may be offered to eligible applicants.
