Employment Status: Full-time Term Contract – Up to 2 years ending 15 October 2027 
Employment Arrangement: 35 hours per week with access to Council’s Agile Work Policy
Salary Range:
- Base Salary: Salary Range from $120,939.00 - $132,684.00 (Grade 21, Step 1 to step 4) per annum
- Plus: 12% superannuation
- Total Package: Salary range from $135,451.00 to $148,905.00.
The successful candidate will have access to step increases for the grade based on competency assessment and tenure within this position.

The Opportunity
Strathfield Council is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of a variety of capital works projects including roads, parks, footpaths, and community infrastructure ensuring each is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll coordinate project planning, design, procurement, and construction, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and the community.

Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in project management and/or relevant degree
- Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
- Demonstrated, successful experience in the project management and delivery of Capital Works infrastructure improvement projects, with extensive project experience
- Skills in managing time, setting priorities, and planning and organising own work in relation to the supervision of construction works so as to achieve objectives efficiently
- An understanding of Australian standards, codes of practices and relevant legislation
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence as necessary
- Physical ability to enable mobility around construction sites
- Knowledge of best practice contracting and tendering practices
- Demonstrated, successful experience in the application of contracts and in the supervision of contract including contract documentation and preparation, payment approvals, financial management and performance monitoring
- Ability to manage, supervise and provide clear direction and instruction to consultants and contractors
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite software and other specialised computer software and application including Microsoft Project or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with public and services authorities
- Sound leadership and motivational skills.
