Be part of a team that makes an impact by keeping our community running smoothly and safely. As a Parking Officer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining local government law enforcement and parking monitoring. Be the boots-on-the-ground and find purpose by helping residents navigate the rules that make our neighbourhoods work.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Enforcing parking regulations across public and private facilities to ensure fair access for everyone
- Conducting minor traffic and pedestrian safety investigations that help prevent accidents
- Educating community members about parking laws and restrictions in a helpful, approachable way
- Supporting local government law enforcement initiatives that protect our environment and public spaces
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigation (or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment in the position at your cost) or Law enforcement related qualification or experience
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively, deal with the public in a calm, courteous and tactful manner and Commitment to ethical conduct with minimum direct supervision
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to exercise appropriate discretion and to observe details and record information in a legible manner
Demonstrated computer literacy - Demonstrated experience in a regulatory and compliance role
We would also love you to have:

You will have a previous experience as a Parking Officer, Ranger or in a similar role. You also must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.

A good understanding of parking infringement legislation would be a benefit for this role.

Ability to work Monday to Saturday on a rotational roster.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $65,812 to $76,484.
