About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator WHS, this role is integral in building a positive safety culture by contributing to the operation of Councils business units, through supporting the day-to-day activities of its workforce and assisting Managers in all aspects of compliance with WHS legislation and the implementation of Council's Health and Safety Management System. Also, Liaise with Council's Injury Management Co-ordinator regarding health and safety issues, the welfare of injured employees and their return to work and participating in Health and wellbeing initiatives and awareness.


About You

You're a highly motivated and driven individual, with a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in undertaking a diverse range of health and safety activities including inspections and investigations.

You take great pride in your work and have experience working with a diverse workforce. You are confident in your ability to work with people leaders through open communication and a solution focused approach.


In addition, you will also have:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
  • Sound computer skills with proven experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word applications
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Ability to train and educate individuals, small and large groups
  • An ability to be independent, agile and flexible whilst being accountable for performance and achievements
  • Current NSW driver's licence


Your commencing annual salary will be from $93,018 + Superannuation + To and From Work vehicle, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
