About the Role

The City of Ryde is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Coordinator Community Facilities to manage the operations of 15 diverse venues, including halls and meeting rooms available for hire by the community. In this role, you will ensure that all venues are accessible, well-maintained, and present a welcoming environment for all users. Your responsibilities will include the effective coordination of hire bookings, supervision of the Community Facilities Bookings Officer, and proactive engagement with the community to enhance their experience.

You will play a critical role in liaising with various stakeholders to meet the community's needs, overseeing the maintenance and development of our facilities booking system (Bookable), and contributing to strategic planning efforts to improve and market our community facilities effectively. By fostering strong relationships and ensuring a high level of customer service, you will help maintain and grow our facilities as vibrant, inclusive spaces that meet the evolving needs of our community.

About You

You are an experienced facilities or venue coordinator/supervisor with a solid understanding of managing community facilities. With qualifications in facilities management or a related field or commensurate experience, you bring both experience and expertise in venue coordination. Your skills in managing multi-stakeholder environments and your commitment to customer service excellence set you apart.

Your interpersonal skills are exceptional, allowing you to build partnerships and negotiate effectively across diverse groups, including community and not-for-profit organisations. You are adept at problem-solving, thinking critically, and possess a keen eye for continuous improvement and quality assurance in service delivery.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Current Class C NSW Driver's Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in facility or property management, particularly in a community-focused environment
  • High competency in written communication, capable of preparing reports, and marketing materials
  • A proactive approach to customer service, with a strong inclination towards gathering feedback and implementing systems or quality improvements
  • Ability to contribute to cross-functional teams including proactive and reactive maintenance requirements and capital works projects. Please note: In line with Council's COVIDSafe Workplace Policy & Procedure all staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Your commencing annual salary will range from $101,306 to $112,818 + Superannuation + leaseback vehicle, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
