As our Team Leader Planning and Assets, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dubbo’s parks, open spaces and community infrastructure. This is a newly created role where you’ll lead both strategic planning and asset management building smarter, more sustainable spaces that support a growing regional community.
You’ll influence how our open spaces evolve, turning today’s challenges into long-term, community-focused solutions. Working across planning, design and delivery, you’ll see your ideas come to life creating places people use, value and enjoy every day.

Leading the future of Dubbo’s open spaces by driving strategic planning and asset management that shapes parks, reserves and community infrastructure for a growing region

Shaping a brand-new role in a supportive team – As you step into a newly created leadership position with strong backing, where your ideas and approach will genuinely influence how the role evolve

Driving collaboration and smarter decisions working closely with internal stakeholders, developers and community stakeholders to balance competing priorities and create long-term solutions

What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
-
Certificate IV in Open Space Planning, Landscape Architecture, Asset Management, Project Management or related discipline or extensive demonstrated experience.

Demonstrated experience in strategic planning for parks and open space infrastructure at a team leadership level with responsibility for staff supervision
-
Comprehensive experience in Total Asset Management, contract management and project delivery for open space and infrastructure projects

Highly developed communication, leadership and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders including developers, community groups and internal teams
- Demonstrated ability and experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams in asset management, planning and construction delivery
- Demonstrated competence in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, MS Project and asset management systems
- Sound understanding of open space planning principles, asset management practices and project management
We would also love you to have:
- Demonstrated experience in grant funding applications and stakeholder engagement for open space projects

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $88,171 to $102,468.
