Early Childhood Teacher

Warrumbungle Shire Council Full Time Permanent 26/03/2026

Salary Range: $98,514 - $114,489 per annum (including 10% overtime allowance) + superannuation

This is not your typical early childhood role. This is your opportunity to lead pedagogy, shape a preschool and mobile play program, and create real impact in your local community.

As part of Council’s Children’s Services team, you’ll take ownership of a unique, outreach-based preschool service that supports children and families across a diverse community. With the flexibility to truly make the role your own, you’ll be empowered to design and deliver programs that reflect your passions—whether that’s art, music, outdoor learning or cultural connection—while ensuring every child has access to high-quality early learning experiences.

In this leadership role, you will drive the educational vision of the preschool and mobile play services, designing and implementing innovative programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF). You’ll lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a collaborative, reflective culture where quality practice thrives. This is your chance to step into a role where your voice matters—where you’re not just delivering a program, but owning and evolving it, supported by experienced senior leaders and a multidisciplinary service network.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening connections with families and the broader community. Working across an integrated service model—including early childhood education, youth services, health and wellbeing programs—you’ll partner with families to support each child’s development and wellbeing. You’ll also contribute to embedding strong child safety practices across the service, working alongside senior leadership to ensure compliance, quality, and continuous improvement remain at the forefront.

We’re looking for a confident and passionate early childhood teacher with an ACECQA-approved Bachelor qualification (please note: graduate diplomas are not preferred for this role), who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by purpose-driven work. You'll join a team of truly passionate educators who bring creativity, energy and heart to everything they do. We work collaboratively to design engaging programs and community events, while supporting each other to let our individual passions shine. With a strong focus on continuous learning and development, the team is proactive in building skills, sharing ideas, and creating a supportive environment where everyone can grow and thrive.

If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and create meaningful change—this is your opportunity to build something special and leave a lasting impact.
