About the role
As Supervisor of our Parks and Recreation Team, you will:
- Lead and coordinate 11 Parks and Recreation team members to deliver Council’s maintenance and capital works programs
- Plan, resource, and implement annual service and maintenance schedules for Council facilities
- Lead and motive the team to deliver exceptional maintenance and presentation of parks, gardens and recreation areas (including public amenities)
- Oversee plant and equipment maintenance, irrigation systems, and environmental protection measures
- Provide advice and liaise with community groups, contractors, and stakeholders
- Manage safe use of chemicals, materials, and equipment in compliance with WHS standards
- Contribute to budgeting, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support HR functions including staff supervision, training, and performance management
- Promote teamwork, innovation, and a positive workplace culture
- Ensure high-quality customer service and uphold Council’s professional image
About you
This role is suited to individuals who:
- Can demonstrate leading a team including delivery of projects and tasks in specified timeframes
- Have a calm, positive, proactive, can-do attitude
- Strong communication and team-building skills - you inspire others to do their best work
- Demonstrated knowledge of grounds maintenance, equipment uses, and safety procedures
- Willing to take part in formal training

- The salary range for this position is currently within the range of $1,559.11 to $1,792.98 per week, plus superannuation, in accordance with Council's salary system.
