Senior Supervisor Urban Services

Warrumbungle Shire Council Full Time Permanent 14/01/2026

Salary Range: $98,514 - $114,490 pa + superannuation

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for shaping vibrant, safe and well-maintained communities? As Senior Supervisor Urban Services, you will play a pivotal role in planning, delivering and overseeing a diverse portfolio of urban services projects and operations across the Shire. From parks and gardens to streetscapes, cemeteries, sporting grounds and town amenities projects, this role sits at the heart of Council’s commitment to creating functional, attractive and liveable public spaces that meet community expectations.

In this leadership role, you will provide strategic and operational oversight to Urban Services Team Leaders, ensuring consistency, quality and cost-effective service delivery across multiple sites. You will lead with safety as your number one priority, embedding strong WHS practices across all activities while managing complex projects from concept through to completion. This includes developing project plans and risk frameworks, managing budgets, coordinating procurement and contractors, and ensuring works comply with relevant standards, specifications and asset management requirements.

You will also be a trusted advisor and collaborator, working closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, community groups and government agencies to progress projects and resolve issues. Your ability to communicate clearly, prepare high-quality reports and represent Council professionally will be key to maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and a positive public image. When required, you will step into the higher duties of Manager Urban Services and Facilities, contributing to broader leadership and decision-making across Council.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong leadership capability, sound technical and project management expertise, and a genuine commitment to community outcomes. You are adaptable, solutions-focused and accountable, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities while supporting and developing others. In return, you'll have all the benefits of working in a large rural council, a strong career opportunity in Local Government, a 35 hour work week with an RDO every 4 weeks and a dedicated and passionate team to work with.

If you are motivated by improving public spaces, leading high-performing teams and delivering projects that enhance liveability and town amenity, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
