About the Role
You will be driving the leadership and management of day-to-day operations for broader organisation, also working on key projects aligned with the Council’s strategic vision.
You will be leading a team to manage the Council’s property leases, licenses, property projects and statutory responsibilities. You will work closely with the CEO and ELT on providing expert advice on all related property matters.
Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure, you will be integral in bringing your expertise to work with a range of complex matters using your think outside the square approach to guide your team delivering best practice to the people of Ryde.
About You
You will be influential in the future vision of City of Ryde by taking your team on a journey of growth. Your superior leadership skills are key to bringing your teams together and thinking of the future-state City of Ryde.
You will have experience working in a similar role with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your influential approach along with your superior negotiation skills will drive positive outcomes for the City of Ryde.
In addition, you will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in land economics, valuation and property management or an equivalent discipline
- Class c drivers’ licence
- Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally, and utilise effective influencing, consultation, communication and negotiation skills to achieve business and organisational outcomes
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following, property acquisitions and sales; property/asset management; land valuation and property leasing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with senior staff, government agencies, contractors and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks, meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to prepare Council reports, service level agreements, complex briefings and technical reports
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills and judgement, including the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and guidelines.
Your commencing annual salary will range from $174,500 to $226,862 + Leaseback Vehicle + Superannuation, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
