We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic professional with qualifications and experience in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design to join our dynamic Projects team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering Council’s capital, design and operational projects, ensuring objectives and contract obligations are met on time and within budget.

You’ll be involved in the delivery of exciting projects, including buildings, civic and open space infrastructure, helping to create spaces that benefit our community.

About the role

The Project Delivery Officer will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of various capital and operational projects for Shellharbour City Council. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all projects meet their objectives, are delivered on time and stay within budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing diverse projects, including civic works, building constructions and environmental initiatives.

In this role, you will engage with stakeholders, oversee project planning and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, all while maintaining a focus on quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Our ideal candidate 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong background in project management. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, landscape architecture or urban design, civil engineering, building or relevant qualifications.
  • Proven experience in contract and project management.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Work Health & Safety and Anti-Discrimination legislation.
  • Current NSW Driver’s License – Class C.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects (greater than $10M) is advantageous.

What we offer

  • Temporary full-time role (35 hours per week) - maternity leave cover until 5 February 2027
  • Salary range: $101,440 - $111,998 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Civil Liability Allowance (CLA) may be offered to eligible applicants
  • Hybrid position
  • 12% superannuation
