$77,500 to $86,866 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role
The Technology Support Librarian role is part of the Technology and Resource Section and will support customers and staff across the broad range of technology services and facilities available throughout the library network. The responsibilities include support for the library management system, print and copy services, public computers, the library book locker, AV equipment and digital collections. The role also involves provision of training for staff and involvement in Discovery Space activities with the public as needed.

This role also has responsibilities of Officer in Charge on customer service desk shifts, including rostered weekend shifts. 

Position requirements
Completion of a degree in Library and Information Science or its equivalent accepted by the Australian Library and Information Association for professional membership is an essential qualification for the position.   This position requires well-developed written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and a flexible, cooperative approach to teamwork are essential.  A Working with Children’s check clearance and current driver’s licence are required for this position.

About you
The position requires an enthusiastic, customer focused professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

You will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of technologies which impact on library services including e-collections, apps, print and copy services and content management systems. Experience trouble-shooting technical problems in a library environment, along with well-developed analytical and organisational skills, and a high attention to detail are essential for the position.
