As an Asset Maintenance Officer you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the Dubbo region safe, growing and enjoyable for all. You’ll ensure Council's buildings, facilities and other structures are inspected, maintained and repaired and have the opportunity to construct new minor assets such as concrete footpaths and timber bridges. Working within a small supportive team you can enjoy getting stuck into interesting, diverse challenges whilst working for the community that you live in and maintaining a healthy work life balance.
You'll work with a great team to:
- Conduct regular inspections on Council’s buildings, facilities and other structures
- Identify and provide solutions to day to day maintenance problems
- Manage, organise and complete maintenance and repair services
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery or related discipline.
- Demonstrated competency in undertaking building maintenance services such as painting, minor concreting, paving, plumbing repairs, watering systems, landscaping, fencing, carpentry, and electrical (not to a standard requiring electrician qualifications).
- Demonstrated commitment to and genuine interest in the provision of excellence in service to clients.
- Ability to undertake administrative duties with experience in the Microsoft suite of applications.
We would also love you to have:
- Previous experience in implementation of relevant Australian Standards for playgrounds
- Experience and relevant qualifications in roofing repair.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $65,812 to $76,484.
