About the Role

City of Ryde is currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and safety-conscious Greenkeeper (Tractor Operator) to join our dedicated Sportsgrounds, Parks and Gardens team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining high-quality sports facilities, and is committed to working safely and effectively as part of a supportive team environment.



About You

You have experience operating a tractor with a loader and broad acre spraying attachments, as well as ride-on mowers and various ground renovation implements. You are also able to provide labouring services to the sportsgrounds team, assisting with a variety of ground maintenance projects when not operating mowing or spraying equipment. Your ability to work efficiently across different tasks and equipment will be essential in supporting the team and ensuring the high standards of maintenance for the sportsgrounds.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture, Greenkeeping or extensive related experience
  • Chemcert Accreditation (AQF3)
  • Significant experience in operating tractors and sportsground maintenance equipment
  • Be safety focused and hold a current Work Health & Safety General Induction Certificate
  • Adequate numeracy and literacy skills in order to fulfil the record keeping responsibilities of the role
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and with limited direct supervision
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence


Your commencing annual salary will range from $60,311.88 to $70,866.46 p.a. + Superannuation dependent on your experience and qualifications.
