Position Overview

The Project Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the Engineering team in delivering essential infrastructure services. This includes working in areas such as transport services, stormwater drainage, project management, contract management, and waste management.

In addition to core engineering duties, the role requires flexibility to assist other teams within the Council, ensuring a cohesive approach to community service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and project management expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of Council projects.
  • Prepare project budget estimates, plans, and forecasts to inform the Council's long-term strategy.
  • Manage tender and contract documentation while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and effectively liaise with stakeholders, including contractors and community members.

What You Need

We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual who aligns with our values of equity, connection, and excellence.

  • Current Driver’s License and White Card.
  • Experience or qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MapInfo, Civil3D) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to quality service and collaboration.

The successful candidate will earn an attractive salary circa $80,156 PLUS super and a range of benefits including:
