Employment Status Permanent, full-time.
Employment Arrangement 35 hours per week with access to Council’s Agile Work Policy.
Salary Range Commencing from $66,138.80 (Grade 8, Step 1) plus 11.5% Superannuation. This role may be eligible for an on-call allowance. The successful candidate will have access to step increases based on competency assessment and tenure within the position.
Council Overview
Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydney’s Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. Based on NSW Government projections, the population will increase to over 80,000 by 2036.
About the Role
Strathfield Council is seeking a Bookings & Facilities Officer to join our Strategic Property team on a full time, permanent basis.
The purpose of this position is to provide an effective and efficient bookings and facilities service function for Council covering bookings for Council Parks, Sporting Fields, Halls, and other Council Facilities.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in administration and in using booking/data management systems.
- Highly developed computer skills and ability to learn and adapt to new programs and applications.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of organisation and time management skills.
- A proven ability to manage challenging customer through effective communication and problem solving.
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team and independently without close supervision.
- Ability to correctly collect, receipt and balance monies on a daily basis.
- Experience working within a Customer Service and Facilities team (DESIRABLE).
- Knowledge of or experience in local government (DESIRABLE).
