As a childcare Assistant you will support the growth and development of children in your care through creating a positive and nurturing environment. You will play a key role, working in a highly dedicated supportive team, to ensure the diverse needs of children and families are met and industry standards maintained. You will be supporting the programming and planning of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that foster children's learning, creativity, and social skills

This is a full time position. Based on 40 hour week with one day off per month.

You'll work with a great team to:

  • Nurture children’s learning and well-being in accordance with current theories and industry practice
  • Ensure all necessary duties are completed in required time frames.
  • contribute to curriculum development by sharing ideas, supporting lesson planning, and implementing engaging activities that align with children's developmental needs and interests.

 

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Community Services or Childcare
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to children
  • Sound communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to support the development of a play-based, child-centered curriculum.

 

We would also love you to have:

  • Experience programming for children 0-5 years of age
  • Proven experience in working as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and under direction

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $54,554 to $63,401.
