Position Overview

The Visitor Services Coordinator will oversee the delivery of high-quality tourism services on behalf of Circular Head Council. This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless and enriching visitor experience, while also contributing to the economic growth of the tourism sector within the region.

This position requires flexibility, with the expectation to work outside of typical hours, including weekends and occasional events related to tourism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Duck River Pavilions Visitor Information Services and Stanley Visitor Information Centre.
  • Coordinate with the Circular Head Tourism Association and other key tourism organizations.
  • Oversee retail operations, including sourcing and pricing local merchandise.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote the Circular Head region effectively.
  • Conduct research and develop new tourism products and events to enhance visitor experience.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven track record in tourism development and customer service.

  • Current Driver's License and relevant qualifications in Tourism and Marketing.
  • Experience in retail and financial management, with strong skills in stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to analyze data and contribute to policy development.
  • Knowledge of local government operations is desirable.
