About the role
As a motivated Town Planner, you will bring your advanced skills and abilities working across a diverse range of development projects. Work within our Development Assessment and Certification division and be a part of an effective team with a strong customer service focus. You will provide professional advice to external and internal customers and your experience will enable you to make timely decisions in conjunction with multi-disciplinary referral groups.
This is a permanent full-time position. Salary up to $114,779.60 per annum inclusive of a market forces allowance in lieu of motor vehicle, plus superannuation (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience, and qualifications)
What You will be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to influence and deliver high-quality outcomes for development projects. In this role, along with co-ordinating and managing multi-disciplinary development projects and project teams you will also:
- Review and assess development applications
- Prepare detailed reports, recommendations, and advice to both the Local and Southern Regional Planning Panels
- Represent Council in Land and Environment Court matters
- Provide development control input into strategic policy formulation, development control plans and local environmental plans
About you:
You are an experienced planner looking at complimenting and further building your skills in the practical application of planning assessment functions.
Along with your tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a relevant related field, you have a technical aptitude and personal resilience to contribute to the team outcomes in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment.
You have sound knowledge of NSW Planning legislation such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Regulations, the Local Government Act 1993 and other relevant legislation.
