Kempsey Shire Council is seeking a passionate individual to lead the council in its commitment to delivering quality services to the community. You will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, fostering collaborative relationships with staff, elected officials, and stakeholders both locally and further afield. This will involve being present and available to residents, businesses, and stakeholders to clearly understand their needs and desires, while replying with practical strategies to address them.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated individual with experience in senior leadership roles within a local government, with a deep understanding of regional communities and their challenges. You will need to become part of the community to inspire and lead with a clear vision, effectively manage and develop your team, and effectively influence and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
