About the Role
As the Learning and Development Manager, internally known as Senior Coordinator Organisational Development & Capability, you will take responsibility for coordinating and ensuring the delivery of organisational development and capability strategies that enhance the skills and competencies of the workforce to deliver on the City of Ryde Business Model. Furthermore, you will implement tools and strategies that allow the City of Ryde to continuously monitor its organisational development and capability strategies against the strategic direction established in the Workforce Management Plan.
Using your blend of leadership and management expertise, solutions focused thinking, and strong technical knowledge, you will manage the day to day activities of the Organisational Development and Capability team, ensuring the delivery of high quality outcomes which extend to include; implementation of Council's training plan; identification of development opportunities or training courses aligned to TNA outcomes; engagement and coordination of training providers; oversight of work experience and internship programs; and ensuring compliance training needs are met.

- Relevant tertiary education qualifications (in disciplines such as human resources, organisational development, management or business) or extensive related experience
- Extensive experience in managing organisational development / business improvement and capability projects and programs
- Solid working knowledge of proven business and/or leadership capability models
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
- Skills in relation to change management and workplace reform
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Local Government Act, Local Government State Award (NSW), EEO / Anti-Discrimination, Disability Discrimination).
