Working within a small cohesive team that takes pride in their work, as a Water and Sewer Electrician, you’ll play an essential, hands-on role in keeping the Dubbo region safe and enjoyable for all. Combining outdoors and office-based work, you’ll ensure the supply of clean, reliable and high-quality drinking water. You’ll also protect our growing region by treating sewage to an environmentally acceptable level. By getting stuck into interesting, diverse challenges, you’ll test your skills, contribute to your community, and shape a career that never gets stale. Growing with our community, this role currently has multiple positions available.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Maintaining Council's water supply and sewerage assets, such as instrumentation, switchboards, SCADA, PLC's and telemetry
- Planning and checking designs for new electrical, electronic and telemetry equipment and instruments
- Undertaking electrical fault finding and repairs
- Connecting/disconnecting electrical plant and equipment
- Supervising external suppliers
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Electrical Trade Certificate including a Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Basic computer skills
- Class C drivers’ licence
- Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the jobs
- Sound experience working with electronic and/or telemetry equipment /instruments, and knowledge of water and sewerage treatment procedures
We would also love you to have:
- Diploma in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Experience in computer operation and Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
- Supervisory experience and/or formal qualifications
- PLC programming experience highly regarded

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $77,470 to $90,034 including market allowance.
