About the Role
The City of Ryde has an excellent opportunity for an experienced truck driver (MR or HR driver's licence preferred) to support our Passive Parks & Streetscapes section in maintaining Council's open public spaces.
In this role you will provide a variety of driver services including but not limited to transporting team members between Council's Operations Centre and work sites, transport material and equipment, assist with loading and unloading material and equipment, provide parks and gardens labouring support such as mowing and similar grass cutting equipment.
About You
You are a reliable and safety-focused team member who takes responsibility and pride in your work. You possess proven experience in driving trucks and have engaged in labouring work related to parks and gardens, as well as in civil or landscape construction projects. Your hands-on expertise in these areas showcases your ability to contribute effectively to any team while delivering quality results.
In addition you also have;
- NSW MR Truck Licence or higher
- WHS General Induction Certificate (white card)
- Demonstrated experience in the safe and efficient driving of truck to their optimum capacity
- Experience in the towing and manoeuvring of large trailers
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited direct supervision
