Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Roads Manager to join the Infrastructure team!
- Full time 35 hours per week
- Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will lead, manage and contribute to the professional performance of Gilgandra Shire’s Infrastructure Services section by being responsible for the coordination, resourcing and managing the construction, maintenance and/or repair of roads in both the urban and rural areas of the shire for both local and state owned items of infrastructure
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent relevant work experience
- Current Driver Licence
- Possession of a WH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WHS, quality standards and environmental issues
- Experience in a similar role in road and civil construction, particularly in managing civil work relating to classified, local rural and urban roads, including associated drainage aspects
- Previous experience in staff, contractor and contract management
- Be a proactive leader with well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead multiple teams, guide and monitor team performance and liaise with the public and other key stakeholders
