Salary Range Grade 22 $119,373.80 to $134,680 per annum, (dependent upon experience) plus 11.5% Superannuation 

Council Overview

Strathfield Council (Council) is a medium sized Council located in Sydney’s Inner West. The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. Based on NSW Government projections, the population will increase to over 80,000 by 2036.

About the Role

Strathfield Council has a great opportunity for a Coordinator, Resilience & Environment to join our Resilience, Compliance & Commercial Team

on a permanent, full-time basis.

The key to the Coordinator, Resilience & Environment role is the coordination of resilience planning across Council to ensure that we are prepared to respond to any disruptive challenges. It is a role that will require extensive community and organisational engagement.

This role leads a team that focuses on achieving climate change mitigation/adaptation and building resilience across our community. This includes developing and implementing innovative programs and working with the local community. Key areas of focus include; Resilience, Environmental & Waste Management as well as managing our Environmental Health function.

The role is responsible for leading the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and programs that facilitate the improvement in the local environment.
